Slope fun for all ages

Even parents with children feel right at home in the cradle of alpine skiing. Lech is a particularly popular destination for family ski holidays on the Arlberg. With the direct access to the ski region via the Schlegelkopfbahn cable car – only a one-minute walk from our 4-star Hotel Jagdhaus Monzabon away and three other attractive winter sport regions in close proximity –, we guarantee variety on two skis for your winter family ski holidays in Lech.

Easy beginnings

Your entrance to the cradle of alpine skiing with 305 multifaceted kilometres and 88 cable cars and lifts, where guests of all ages feel right at home, is only a few metres away from your family holiday hotel in Lech. Arlberg ski region is particularly kid and beginner friendly. 26 ski conveyor belts in the children’s areas of the local ski schools provide a playful introduction to fun in the snow. Young and even the youngest guests benefit from extensive care and supervision in the on-site ski schools, getting them ready to conquer the many awesome slopes together with mom, dad and their siblings in no time.

Skiing fun during Arlberg familiy ski holidays

Once everyone feels comfortable on skis, the broad and comparatively flat family slopes can be conquered together. Glide through the snow together and take a few trips to adjacent ski regions. We can particularly recommend the Sonnenkopf with its multifaceted family offerings to you. Plus, it’s a must for family ski holidays in Lech to include a rest stop on one of the many huts with delicious regional specialties. Fortified by a hearty meal, you return to the slopes.

  • Children's clubs in Lech, Zürs and Oberlech:
Even the littlest ones aged 3 to 5 playfully get ready for the slopes. Playing children as little as two experience all fun that can be had in Arlberg snow at the children’s clubs of Zürs and Oberlech.
  • Childrens' ski school Lech with kids' area:
The ski school with kids’ area offers two hours of animation every day plus courses for young guests. The mini ski race takes place every Friday morning.
  • Children's ski school Zürs with kids' area:
Child-suited supervision promotes fun in snow during family ski holidays in Lech. Courses for all ages plus many other great activities for the littlest ones provide the best entertainment.
  • Children's ski school Oberlech with kids' area:
Hit the slopes in no time: Oberlech has the perfect conditions for the youngest learners. Coursed tailored to different age and experience groups make sure that kids are safe on skis quickly.

St. Anton - St. Christoph - Stuben for families

  • Children's ski school St. Anton am Arlberg:
Age-appropriate group courses with experience ski and snow sport instructors convey genuine joy for slope adventures. Combined with the Kiki Club childcare options, families soon tackle the white slopes in St. Anton together.
  • Kiki Club:
Boredom? Not at the Kiki Club of the children’s ski school St. Anton am Arlberg! Even the littlest ones from around age 2.5 go wild in the ski kindergarten. Child-appropriate courses, the power programme for teens and extensive lunch supervision as just as big a part.
  • Children's ski school Stuben:
Full-day courses with lunch grouped according to experience level lead onto the diverse Stuben slopes from Sunday to Friday. The big children’s ski race with certificates for everyone caps off the exciting winter sport week.
  • Hoppelweg:
Join the rabbit Hoppel on the child-friendly piste no. 27. Many animals hidden in the forest wait on this turn-heavy slope. They help active, curious kids learn the ten FIS rules.
  • Fun slope on the Galzig:
The Tanzbödenbahn was built specifically for family trips, ski courses and school groups – up to five children ride with child-proof locks and accompanied by an adult. Having arrived on top, the fun slope provides challenges to test those skiing skills learned and little skiers’ stability.

Warth-Schröcken for families

  • Pauli's Ski Arena:
This adventure arena for young slopesters waits at the Salober valley station. Several lifts lead to the different adventure stages. Kids learn how to ride a lift and a bit of balancing. The speed check is fun for everyone.
  • Pauli's slope rule piste:
Those skiing around the world should be well-aware of the FIS rules. What do you have to pay attention to, what should you avoid? Pauli’s slope rule piste between the Warther-Horn-Express mountain station and the Steffisalp-Express valley station shows what’s what.
  • Funslope Steffisalp:
The first fun slope in Western Austria doesn’t just invite older ski and boarder adventurers to exciting tours. Special areas for kids lead across waves, boxes and steep slopes.
  • Children's ski school Salober-Schröcken with kids' area:
Join mascot Pauli to make the family ski holidays on the Arlberg even more adventurous. Child-appropriate courses quickly introduce beginners to the great slopes and provide high entertainment for more advanced skiers.
