Speed rush while ski racing on the Arlberg
Downhills and slaloms for pros
You’ve always wanted to feel like a racer? Ski racing on the Arlberg provides genuine speed rushes – there’s no time for snugness! Tricky downhill and slalom slopes fuel the need for speed and invite to genuine technique trainings with the wind in the face. Several ski race tracks on the Arlberg complete your winter holiday with a hint of alpine ski racing.
Race Area in Lech Zürs
Two permanent slopes for ski racing on the Arlberg in close proximity to the Monzabon prove inviting for major rides. See how you measure up against other riders at the Hinterwieslift in Lech. The parallel slalom slope is the site of gripped duels. The giant slalom race track at the baby-lift of Zürs has only moderate sloping – perfect for some alpine tuning-up.
By the way: If you want to know how fast you can go, we recommend the speed check at the Weibermahdlift. Get a free radar picture on top of it.
Speed tracks in St. Anton
The wide ski region St. Anton - St. Christoph - Stuben is also home to particularly fine speed hunts. The Rendl is the centre of alpine ski racers. Rendl Race (no. 8) is the permanent giant slalom race track for exciting races. There’s also a schuss slope with speed check on the Rendl slope no. 12. How fast can you race down Stanton Speed? Furthermore, you find a small but nice giant slalom race track at the Walchlift in Stuben.
Racing in Warth-Schröcken
Go to the start of the Salober race track: Two starting positions allow you to pick your level of difficulty for giant slalom and slalom. Reach the brief parallel giant slalom track with the 4-seat chairlift Sonnencruiser. Race against friends or work colleagues with high-tech speed trap. And then there’s the BMW xDrive SkiMovie race track. Every skier is filmed automatically on this shut-off slope in Warth at the Wannenkopf chairlift. You can see your personal film online after.
Conquer the diverse race tracks on the Arlberg and face technical challenges, chase the highest speeds or simply race against friends – tons of fun in the cradle of alpine skiing. Have you already requested your Monzabon holiday offer?
