Sake at Jagdhaus – when rice wine meets Arlberg

At Hotel Jagdhaus Monzabon, it’s not all about Austrian white wines and top-quality international wines. We also have a very special drink that’s a regular feature on our menu: sake. This is all thanks to Tobias – the owner’s son – whose expertise makes him a real rarity in Lech and across the Arlberg region.

Tobias – J.S.A. Certified Sake Sommelier with a place in the world rankings

Tobias is not only a certified sommelier with a keen eye for fine wines. He’s also an internationally certified J.S.A. Certified Sake Sommelier from the Japan Sommelier Association. Behind this title lie years of study in the Japanese art of brewing, sensory training, and a deep understanding of one of the world’s oldest drinking cultures.

A qualification that is unrivalled in Lech and across the entire Arlberg region.

What you can discover with Tobias

  • A variety that will amaze wine lovers – Junmai, Honjozo, Ginjo, Daiginjo: each style has its own character, ranging from light and floral to full-bodied and robust.
  • Served chilled – Tobias offers a carefully curated selection of chilled sake: from fine aperitif sake and classic rice wine to elegant dessert sake, as well as shochu and sparkling sake.
  • Surprising food pairings – sake isn’t just for sushi. Try it with mature cheese, tender game from our kitchen, or creamy pasta dishes – you’ll be amazed.
  • Stories that bring the glass to life – about polished rice, centuries-old breweries, and the Japanese “kampai” way of life.

Sake is the soul of Japan in a glass.
